Google Performance Summit 5/24 recap

The first important innovation announced at GPS 2016 by Sridhar Ramaswamy (Senior Vice President, Ads & Commerce) is the return to individual bidding adjustment for desktop, mobile and tablet in next few months.
A post on the official AdWords blog better detailed the innovations in terms of ads, which will be applied starting from July 2016 (the date appeared only on the Italian translation of the Inside AdWords Blog): from the current 25 characters title + 2 lines of 35 characters each to 2 title lines of 30 characters each + 80 in one line of details to better fit the overwhelming mobile queries numbers. The new Extended Text Ads should appear like these examples:

Jerry Dischler (Vice President AdWords Product Management) announced some new local ads formats (promoted pins) and explained that in store visits tracking via machine learning will become a substantial part of local search experience, with increasing accuracy (they claim 99%).
Brad Bender (VP, GDN Product Management) announced an expansion of Google Dispaly Network to new “cross-exchange inventory” placements and the coming of similar audiences + demographic targeting for Search Network too.
Samantha Lemonnier (director of ad platform engineering) showed some screeshot of the new AdWords redesign and announced there will be no upgrade or migration. Google will be working on it for all the rest of 2016 and in 2017, asking to selected advertisers to try it and adjusting it before the final roll out (no final release date foreseen at the moment). Here is one of the screenshots shown.

Then Babak Pahlavan (director of measurement and analytics) announced that Google will be rolling out a free version of Google Data Studio with a 5 reports limits (first in US, then to other markets) and showed some screenshots from Analytics 360 Suite, some outlooks of the future integration between AdWords & Analytics and, finally showed some voice activated data mining examples in GA.
